One of the first, and one of the more crassly exploitative Manson cash-in was this ultra-rare, trashy sexploitation piece - another of those 'true story of Manson' pieces, in similar ilk to THE LOVE THRILL MURDERS, etc.
Here, our Manson is a monk-robed nut who lies down in a coffin, is transported around in a black hearse, and likes to whip his bitches whenever they step out of line (this is often - they like being whipped by him!).
In tacky black-and-white set-pieces, he frequently cuts to flashbacks to what made him the monster he is today - this nightmarish existence includes forced incest with his mother (his mother is Uschi Digard, so I guess I could live with that!), a spot of tossed-salad in prison, spanking, and other lurid abuse.
A couple of the clips also highlight a noticeable flaw - one of the characters featured (not Manson) looks very much like the real guy, and a lot more so than th actor who' meant to be playing him!
It's a shame that the film is as hard to come by as it is, because it's a bit of a trash classic - it's loaded with nudity, over-the-top lines, and violence.
So rare it is, that the only print of it known to exist is this German version (which is this version). It's not a great print, either, but it is passable - I've seen DVD releases that look a lot worse than this.
